Idea-Thon 3.0 witnessed enthusiastic participation by students’ team who pitched their project ideas to win prototype development funding. 48 ideas were received, 18 were shortlisted for jury round, and finally 7 project ideas have been awarded prototype development funding. The experts from industry and academia scrutinized every project pitch and gave valuable feedback to the students. The jury comprised Mr. Rajneesh Garg (MD, India Circuits Pvt. Ltd.), Mr. Vipul Duggal (Founder & MD, Pastiche Energy Solutions), Mr. Sumit Grover (Proprietor, Genesys Control), Mr. Pushpinder Singh (CTO, Ambiente Technologies Pvt. Ltd.), Dr. S.N. Panda – PVC (Research), Chitkara University and Mr. Sanjay Bhatnagar – Visiting Professor & Tech Commercialization Expert, Chitkara University.
DST funded centres at Chitkara University, NewGen IEDC and TEC have been organizing Idea-Thon for the past three years now and Dr. Sagar Juneja (Associate Director, Research, Chitkara University and Coordinator, NewGen IEDC and TEC) has been convening it.
