World’s largest hackathon gets going today at 7:40 am simultaneously at 48 nodal centres across India – Chitkara University being one of them. In his inaugural speech, addressing all the nodal centres together with VC facility, Shri Prakash Javedkar ji said, “We must become owners of innovation”. He further added, “The country which does not innovate, can not thrive forward”. Dr S S Sandhu, Addl Secy, Technical Education, MHRD, Dr Mohit Gambhir, Chief Innovation Officer, MHRD, and Mr R K Soni, Regional Officer, AICTE, Chandigarh, visited Chitkara University, Punjab to overview the preparations and proceedings of Smart India Hackathon. They met with the Vice Chancellor and also sat through the interaction with the Prime Minister. The result of the 36 hours SIH is going to announced at 8:00pm tonight across 48 nodal centres simultaneously. The pulses are running high and so is the enthusiasm of the participants.
