It is a matter of proud and privilege for Chitkara family that for excelling in research and to explore international research collaborations, our faculty member Dr. Inderbir Singh, Professor & HOD (Pharmaceutics), Chitkara College of Pharmacy, Chitkara University, Punjab, visited WITS Advanced Drug Delivery Platform (WADDP) and Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology, University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa as a researcher and drug delivery expert from 30 June 2017 to 14 July 2017. He delivered expert lectures on “Quality by Design (QbD) in Pharmaceutical Product Development” to undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral and postdoctoral students and WADDP research team. He also held interactive session with the students and faculty of Wits University. An “Overview of Curriculum and Recent Trends with Respect to Clinical Pharmacy Practice and Therapy in India” was discussed with the staff of WITS University. He also participated in various workshops on 3D printing technology and advanced electrospun nanofiber technology. The travel was supported under NRF SARChl research grant.
The proposed visit will definitely strengthen relationships and collaborations of Chitkara University and WITS University and will prove to be a gateway for new avenues for academic/research related activities.
