Dr Vandna Sharma is PhD in Physics and has more than six years of research experience in the field of liquid crystals technology and related areas. She has successfully completed DST INSPIRE Fellowship project (August 24, 2015-August 23, 2020) on August 11, 2020. She has published various research articles in different peer reviewed journals such as Journal of Materials Science, Journal of Molecular Liquids, Journal of Molecular Structure, Physica B: Condensed Matter Physics, Liquid Crystals, Micron etc. As well as, several research papers have been presented in various International and National conferences. She visited to abroad to present her research work in the conferences for core field of liquid crystals such as XXII Conference on Liquid Crystals – Chemistry, Physics and Applications (CLC’2018), September 17-21, 2018, Poland and 27th International Liquid Crystal Conference (ILCC), July 22-27, 2018, Japan. Dr Sharma is also a recipient of various research awards; among them two prestigious awards are Young Scientist Award by Punjab Academy of Science and Dewan Jawahar Lal Memorial Prize by Indian Liquid Crystal Society.
