Dr. Rakesh Goyal is working as an Associate Professor in the department of Chitkara University Research and Innovation Network (CURIN), Chitkara University, Punjab with a work experience of more than 20 years. He is Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, M. Tech. in Production Engineering, MBA in Marketing and B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering.

He is doing research work to modify the surfaces with the help of newly formulated alloy powder coatings. The outcomes applied in industrial boiler by one of the leading boiler manufacturer of Haryana shows significant improvement in working life of boiler tubes and reduced shut downtime. His research work was communicated in Science and Technology through publications, patents, expert lectures, AICTE-ISTE Faculty Development workshops/Summer Schools, National/International conferences/Seminars. He has more than 68 Publications in SCI/ Scopus and UGC journals/conferences to his credit. He has written two books also in the field of Surface Engineering. He has been the reviewer of many International Journals. He has been appreciated by different publishing houses including Journal of Thermal Spray Technology and, Surface and Coating Technology for review work. He has also conducted technical programs in Collaboration with IIT Bombay and for a leading manufacturing house.
