Dr. Ankit Sharma is currently working at the CURIN Department of Chitkara University, Punjab, India. He received his doctorate in Mechanical Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, India. He is having more than 9 years of experience in academics, research, consulting, training, and industry. His current mandate is to manage as a publisher of international peer-reviewed Chitkara  journals. Through his expertise, he addresses the global burning issues related to the health, manufacturing, agriculture, and energy sectors. During his Ph.D. work, he addresses the industrial problem i.e., improving and analysing the glass machining quality using rotary ultrasonic machining. He has delivered several invited seminars and keynote talks on international (USA, China, India) platforms and awarded with best research paper awards.

He has authored numerous national and international publications in SCI, Scopus, and web of science indexed journals. He has filed/published 30+ International patents. He is currently doing consultancy with the medical industries by developing biomedical device manufacturing machines. He holds the managing and special issue editor of several International Journals.

He is also the Book Series Editor entitled ‘Innovations in Smart Manufacturing for Long-Term Development and Growth’ of CRC Press, Taylor n Francis-Publisher. He is the editor of three CRC Press, Taylor and Francis’s books related to advanced manufacturing processes. He holds the editorial body position in many Scopus-indexed journals such as International Journal on Interactive Design and Manufacturing, Springer Publications; Machines, MD Pi, etc. He is also the reviewer board member of several international journals such as Measurement (Elsevier), Sage Part E, International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing technology (Springer), Silicon (Springer), and Sustainability (MDPI).
