Dr. Amanpreet Kaur is Ph.D. in Electronics and Communications Engineering having 10 years of experience in Teaching, Research and Development. Her areas of expertise are Low Power VLSI Designs, Energy Efficient Designs, Xilinx Plan Ahead, X Power Analyzer, Game Development using Unity 3D, Modeling using 3D Maya and Blender, Vuforia SDK. Her research includes VR/MR based shooting tutors for Defence Training, AR based books for school students, Post Quantum Cryptography: Hardware implementation of cyber security algorithms using FPGA, MEMS Sensors, Embedded Systems, Iot Security: Issues and Challenges.

She won the Young Scientist Award at the International Conference on Green Computing and Engineering Technology (ICGCET), Dubai in 2015.

She bagged Erasmus+ scholarship from European Union in 2018 for semester exchange at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. She received University Research Scholarship from 2013 to 2019 for pursuing Ph.D. and M.E. from Chitkara University, Punjab, India. She also received Research Excellence Awards and Research Papers Incentive Awards in 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021 at Chitkara University, Punjab, India.

She has successfully completed a government funded project named as “Design and Development of MEMS based Inertial Navigation System for Aerial Vehicles” at Council of Scientific & Industrial Research-Central Scientific Instruments Organization (CSIR-CSIO) lab in Chandigarh, INDIA in 2016.

She and her team received extramural funding of Rs. 57.486 Lakh from Directorate of Extramural Research and Intellectual Property Rights (EP & IPR), Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) for research project titled “Design and Implementation of an Intelligent Security Framework for providing Confidentiality and Authentication to Defence Voice-Communications using Polynomials with the FPGA implementations” in March 2021.

She is author and co-author in 80+ research papers in the fields of FPGA, MEMS sensors, Augmented and Virtual Reality journals of high repute and flagship conferences. Her 3 patents are granted, 1 patent is published and 8 patents are filed by Indian Patent Office.

She is a Lifetime Member of Institution of Engineers (IEI), INDIA and Professional Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

She has handled numerous International and National research projects and has guided several Ph.D. and ME scholars. She is an active member of Immersive and Interactive lab (IITL) and Centre of Excellence of Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence Lab at Chitkara University Research and Innovation Network, Chitkara University, Punjab.

Received Extramural Funding of Rs. 57.486 Lakh from Directorate of Extramural Research and Intellectual Property Rights (EP & IPR), Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) for 3 years based research project titled “Design and Implementation of an Intelligent Security Framework for providing Confidentiality and Authentication to Defence Voice-Communications using Polynomials with the FPGA implementations” on 01-March -2021.
  2. Received New Generation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (NewGen IEDC) grant from National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science & Technology (DST) for prototype building of “Airline Passengers’ Kit Application” hosted by Chitkara University Research and Innovation Network (CURIN), Chitkara University, Punjab.
  3. “Design and Analysis of Mixed Reality based shooting tutors for Defence Training” in collaboration with C-DAC, Mohali.
  4. “Design and Development of Augmented Reality based Science Teaching and Learning Application” in collaboration with schools.
