The water purification device comprises a housing comprises a base having an outlet port,side walls coupled with the base, and a top wall coupled to an upper end of the side walls andhaving an inlet port to receive contaminated water to be filtered; at least one first layer, atleast one second layer, at least one third layer, and at least one fourth layer configured in thehousing for filtering the received water; wherein the at least one first layer comprisessediments to restrict flow of a first set of contaminants of the received water; wherein the atleast one second layer comprises an adsorbent to absorb a second set of contaminants of thereceived water; wherein the at least one third layer comprises micro fibre mesh to restrictpassage of a third set of contaminants of the received water; and wherein the at least onefourth layer comprises a foam to lower Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) of the received water.
