The present disclosure relates generally to transdermal drug delivery systems for 5 Fenoprofen. More specifically, the disclosure is directed to a topical cream formulation comprising liposomes comprising phosphatidylcholine, cholesterol, dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine, and Fenoprofen Calcium. The formulation improves the drug permeability for Fenoprofen Calcium and avoids the side-effects of oral delivery systems. The disclosure further provides a process of preparing the 10 formulation using thin-film hydration method.
