The present disclosure provides a surveillance system for monitoring a vehicle. The system comprises a transceiver associated the vehicle and a control unit. The control unit comprises an extraction module, a comparison module, and an alert module. The transceiver of the vehicle transmits locomotional attributes of the vehicle to a plurality of satellites. The control unit extracts the locomotional attributes of the vehicle from the plurality of satellites, determines a track associated with the vehicle, and compares the extracted locomotional attributes of the vehicle for the determined track with a first dataset.
The first dataset comprises locomotional attributes associated with one or more tracks. The control unit generates an alert signal when the extracted locomotional attributes of the vehicle exceed the first dataset.
