The present disclosure provides a surveillance system for monitoring a vehicle. The systemcomprises a transceiver associated the vehicle and a control unit. The control unitcomprises an extraction module, a comparison module, and an alert module. Thetransceiver of the vehicle transmits locomotional attributes of the vehicle to a pluralityof satellites. The control unit extracts the locomotional attributes of the vehicle fromthe plurality of satellites, determines a track associated with the vehicle, and comparesthe extracted locomotional attributes of the vehicle for the determined track with a first dataset.The first dataset comprises locomotional attributes associated with one or more tracks. The controlunit generates an alert signal when the extracted locomotional attributes of the vehicleexceed the first dataset.
