The present disclosure relates generally to the field of chemical engineering. Morespecifically, the disclosure is directed to a process for silica separation frombiomass using controlled microwave wherein the controlled microwave haselectric field (E) to magnetic field (H) ratio of about 17:1 to about 10:1. Thepresent disclosure also provides a system for silica separation from biomass using10 the controlled microwave.
