The present invention relates to an oral fast dissolving film and a method of preparation thereof. Specifically, the present invention relates to an oral fast dissolving film comprising novel natural polymer and a method of preparation thereof. More particularly, the present invention relates to an oral fast dissolving film comprising natural polymer chlorophytum. The present invention provides a method for preparation of an oral fast dissolving film for therapeutic purpose, said method comprising the steps of: obtaining chlorophytum powder from Chlorophytum borivilianum; dispersing the obtained chlorophytum powder in water to obtain a first solution; filtering said first solution to obtain a filtrate; centrifuging said filtrate to obtain a supernatant liquid; and mixing a plasticizer to said supernatant liquid to obtain a homogenous solution, said homogenous solution being dried and casted into said fast dissolving film.
