A clothes disinfecting apparatus (100) for destroying the harmful microorganisms like5 bacteria, fungi or viruses from the clothes is disclosed. The disclosed apparatus (100)includes a first cabinet (102) adapted to accommodate and disinfect the clothes,and a second cabinet (104) adapted to dry the disinfected clothes is positionedadjacent to the said cabinet (102). A container (106) provided in the first cabinet(102) for spraying one or more fluids on the accommodated clothes through a set10 of nozzles, and a drying unit (120) operatively coupled in the second cabinet (104)for drying the disinfected clothes. The apparatus includes a driving unit thatfacilitates in moving the clothes in between the first cabinet (102) and the secondcabinet (104)
