The present disclosure relates to an apparatus (100) for decontamination ofobjects, the apparatus includes a housing (102) including a container (114)adapted for storage of the liquid sanitizer, a lid (106) configured to be activated byoperation of a switch (110) provided on the housing of the apparatus, one or morenozzles (108) operable to allow passage of the liquid sanitizer, one or more10 sensors (112) configured for detection of objects. A microcontroller (118)configured to receive, from the one or more sensors, a first set of attributespertaining to a plurality of movable objects, and second set of attributes pertainingto a plurality of immovable objects, based on determination of the immovableobjects, the microcontroller operates the nozzles to allow dispensation of15 predetermined quantity of the liquid sanitizer to decontaminate the immovableobject.
