The present disclosure relates to an apparatus (100) for measuring growth of5 users, the apparatus includes a sensor (104) configured on a frame (102), thesensor configured to, upon activation, detect growth of the user in a vicinity of thesensor, wherein the sensor is activated by operation of a switch (106). A processor(120) operatively coupled with the sensor, a display unit (104) and a audio unit,the processor configured to receive, from the sensor, upon activation of the sensor,10 a set of signals pertaining to any or a combination of height and weight of theuser, and extract, from the received set of signals, a value of the received set ofsignals of the user, to instruct the display unit and the audio unit the value of thereceived set of signals of the user.
