The present disclosure relates to an apparatus (100) for assisting a user, theapparatus includes a frame (102) adapted to be worn on neck part of the user, animage capturing unit (104) captures a set of images of objects in the vicinity of theuser and a microcontroller (106) receives, from the image capturing unit, the set ofimages of objects in the vicinity of the user. The microcontroller extract, from the10 receive set of images, physical attributes of the objects, compare the extractedphysical attributes of the objects with a reference set of attributes to extract a set ofvalues, wherein, upon detection of the set of values of the object in the vicinity ofthe user, the microcontroller configured to generate an audio signal pertaining toreal-time information of the objects is transmitted to an earpiece (110) of the user.
