The present disclosure provides an opto-electronic integrated circuit. The integrated circuitcan include a power splitter having an input port and one or more output ports; an inputsource configured to generate a first set of optical signals to the power splitter via the inputport; a first set of defect rods introduced on bends, located on both sides of the power splitter,to reduce backward reflections; and a second set of defect rods placed at a junction of thepower splitter, the second set of defect rods can be configured to suppress bending losses,resonate the first set of optical signals across the one or more output ports and transfermaximum power to the one or more output ports.
