Chitkara University NewGen IEDC (Maker Lab Pupa)
Department of Science and Technology (DST), GOI has set up a New Generation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Center (NewGen IEDC) at Chitkara University and has given us a grant of INR 2.87 Crores to support upto 100 student projects that have potential to become technology-driven start-ups. The Chitkara University NewGen IEDC was established in January 2019 and in the first year we have supported 20 projects.
Maker Lab Larva
As the name indicates the Makers’ Lab Larva at Chitkara University has been set-up to provide opportunity to first year engineering students to work on actual hardware projects. Objective of this lab is to give hands-on experience to engineering students from Day 1. The lab maintains a good inventory of hardware tools and components that are used by students for building their projects under the guidance of dedicated and specialised staff.
