Dr Nitin Saluja has completed his PhD in Electronics Engineering with 12 years of experience in academics and industrial research. He is specialised in microwave engineering and enables the precise usage of the microwave with the help of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI). Microwave has both thermal and non-thermal effects. While thermal effects are used to cook the food, the non-thermal effects of microwave is used in biology and chemical reactions. It is claimed that the Microwave is bad for health.
His research includes the use of badness of microwave to applications in the area of agriculture and health applications. His research in the area of microwave engineering and computational electromagnetics has got successful commercialization in agriculture and health applications. His research in the area of weed control with microwave has resulted into E-DeWeeder. His research in the area of non-thermal drying methods has resulted in the impact drier for the crop-waste. His technical skills include the modelling of microwave process, cost-optimized manufacturing of microwave components, big-data analytics of satellite data using python programming and CAD optimization with COMSOL Multiphysics. He is actively involved in the number of consultancy projects for microwave drying of the foods and wet waste. He is a renowned consultant in development of Microwave Industrial Drier.
Also, he is active in perusing research in applications of mixed-signal circuit design, microwave component designs on PCBs, antenna design, EMI/EMC analysis, heating applications of microwave engineering, computation electromagnetics and wireless communications. He has successfully commercialized one technology for affordable and precise farming. He is supervising several PhD students including 4 from premium companies such as Intel and Nokia in the area of innovative process and designs in high-frequency circuit applications. His area of interest is in front end designs for Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence platform hardware.
He is the recipient of national and international awards for microwave and RF engineering applications in food and agriculture applications. He is a global winner of IEEE AIYEHUM 2014, DST-Lockheed Martin IIGP 2016, IIGP 2.0, Millennium Alliance 2016, DST-Intel Innovation for Digital India 2.0 (IFDI 2.0), DST-Facebook sponsored Economic Times Power of Ideas (POI) 2017 and People choice award at Diabetes Innovation Challenge US. He has featured on Zee Business show Innovate India for his product. He has obtained training from Stanford University, US Silicon Valley experts and IIM Ahmedabad for technology commercialisation and technology-enterprise strategising and execution. He is mentoring more than 4 companies in technology space ranging from go-to-market strategy to scaling strategy.
