Iconic Plumbing Lab was setup in 2017 at Chitkara University, Punjab. The aim of setting up this lab relies on 2 pillars: Training and Education. This lab has been providing interdisciplinary and multipurpose environment for institution use, workskills training and product display. The lab is equipped with pneumatic pumps, AC drives, phase diverters etc.
We have been training our students on plumbing design to catch up with the fast-changing civil industry. Our faculty have been training indiaskills participants and organizing boot camps in association with Indian Plumbing Skill Council (IPSC).
Objectives
- To create a productive and sustainable environment for students and faculty for maximizing the team`s potential.
- To contribute to scientific world through scientific publications.
- To provide industrial consultancy in the field of water saving and conservation.
Outcomes
- The CoE fosters innovation by developing new, more efficient plumbing systems and technologies.
- The lab serves as a training ground for technicians, engineers, and other professionals to stay updated on the latest plumbing technologies.
- The CoE collaborates with manufacturers, contractors, and policymakers to address industry challenges.
- The lab hosts seminars, workshops, and public outreach programs to educate the community about plumbing systems and maintenance.
