Linux Administration Lab
Linux Administration Lab was set up in 2018 at Chitkara University, Punjab in collaboration with Red Hat Academy. The Red Hat Academy turns Academic Institutions into centres for enterprise-ready talent by outfitting them with Red Hat Training and Certification. Throughout the Red Hat Academy program, students and faculty gain access to the value of training and the benefits of certification through hands-on instruction, curriculum, labs, performance-based testing, and instructor support. The Red Hat Academy curriculum is offered across Red Hat’s most in-demand platform, middleware, and cloud technologies. The selected courses and exams are available in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
The Red Hat Academy organizes training programs for students and faculty to catch up with the fast-changing industry. Our students and faculties have been learning the latest Red Hat courses for enhancing their skills. The latest Red Hat technologies have been helping us to prepare the students for certification Exams.
OBJECTIVES
- The Red Hat Academy has a long-standing commitment towards students to help them enhance their education and strengthen their position in the job market.
- The Red Hat Academy bridges the gap between education and industry by providing flexible, hands-on lab experience, standardized materials, certification exams, and high demand course contents.
- The Red Hat Academy offers the best chance to learn in-demand open source skills that will help throughout a students’ career.
ACHIEVEMENTS
- More than 70 students have enrolled for training (2019-2020).
- Two expert sessions have been organized for students in 2019-2020.
- A Webinar on OpenShift Container and Kubernetes organized in April 2021.
- Online Workshop on OpenShift Container DO101 organized in May 2021.
RESEARCH ACTIVITIES
Currently, the Red Hat Research Lab emphasizes on PhD dissertations, Master’s Theses, but followings are some of the areas in which we will explore in future.
- The research projects will be incorporated with the course of Linux Administration Lab to work with Red Hat Research areas.
- Along with this, in Linux Administration Lab students and faculty members will start working on writing Research articles on cloud and Open shift application deployment.
- Multi-partner government-funded collaborations in key areas of AI/ML, Cloud, information security & privacy.
- Testing and operations will be done for the upcoming batches of students.
