Electronique Design Centre (EDC), established by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Chitkara University Punjab is a state-of-the-art innovation hub dedicated to fostering electronics prototyping, research, and hands-on learning for students and aspiring engineers. With a strong focus on Embedded Systems, IoT application development, Cyber Physical System, and cutting-edge technologies like AI/ML, Edge AI, Embedded AI, EDC provides a collaborative ecosystem where creativity meets technical expertise.
Objective
To empower students with practical electronics design skills by offering access to advanced tools, mentorship, and industry-aligned projects, bridging the gap between academia and real-world applications.
Mission
- Promote innovation and entrepreneurship in electronics and embedded systems.
- Provide hands-on training in PCB design, microcontroller programming, Edge AI, and IoT application development.
- Support student-led projects from concept to prototype, encouraging problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Collaborate with industries and research institutions to enhance skill development.

Key Facilities & Offerings
- Prototyping Lab – Equipped with nRF52, Raspberry Pi, STM32, Arduino and FPGA kits.
- PCB Design & Fabrication – Supports end-to-end circuit development.
- Workshops & Hackathons – Regular training on Embedded C, IoT, and AR/VR integration. Organizing annual Hackathon “TecHacks” since 2019.
- Industry Partnerships – Collaborations with KPIT, STMicroelectronics, Gettobyte Technologies, NXP semiconductor, Silicon Labs, and Deakin University.
