The present disclosure relates to an apparatus (100) for collecting undesired5 particles, the apparatus includes a suction unit (118) coupled to an elongated tube,the suction unit adapted to capture the undesired particles in a predefined area, animage acquisition unit captures one or more images of the undesired particles. Aprocessor (122) coupled to the image acquisition unit, processor configured toreceive, from the image acquisition unit, the one or more images of the undesired10 particles, compare, the received one or more images of the undesired particles withreference images to detect valuable items from the received one or more images;wherein, based on the detection of the valuable items from the received one or moreimages, the processor configured to operate the alert unit to generate an alert signalto notify the user, and operate the display unit to display the valuable items.
