The present disclosure pertains to an adjustable ladder 100 that can move between a firstposition and a second position. The adjustable ladder 100 can include sets of elongatedmembers 102 and rungs 106, where the sets of elongated members 102 can be coupled withthe rungs 106. The sets of elongated members 102 can include holes 104 and the rungs 106can include extended portions 108 at both ends, such that the extended portions 108 can befixed in the holes 104 of the elongated members 102. The adjustable ladder 100 can include aswitch 112 and a control unit 114 to facilitate movement of the ladder 100. The adjustableladder 100 can include a diaphragm 120 to control pressure associated with the control unit114 and the switch 112 when weight on the ladder 100 exceeds a pre-defined safety limit.
