The proposed disclosure provides a system for quantifying movements of a subject. Thesystem is configured to be a wearable device, and comprises first sensors, second sensors, and a processing unit, where the first sensors and the second sensors sense firstparameters and second parameters, respectively, associated with the subject. The processing unit, based on the sensed first parameters and second parameters, quantifies a variance associatedwith movement of the subject, and correspondingly generate a set of alert signals when thequantified variance is beyond a pre-defined range. The system comprises an input device toreceive a set of input signals, and determine a pattern associated, and correspondingly generate aset of status signals.
